I have decided to set myself a goal of photographing every bird that has appeared on Australian shores and its surrounding Territories. I hope to be able to have done the main body of birds over a period of 5 years, I started in about Jan 2007. I now follow the International Ornithologists' Union birdlist which is called the IOC birdlist and the current version is 3.2 which lists 891 species of which 347 are endemic. My last Bird Photographed was a Tropical Scrubwren at Iron Range Far North Queensland in January 2013.

My Current Birdcount is 734 Birds in Australia, its Territories and Waters and another 42 birds overseas that have come to Australia.
